There aren’t really many movies that I’m looking forward to (Confessions of a shopaholic? What happens in Vegas? WTF??), but the following two are definitely high up on the to watch list.

The first time, I came across the short film 9 by Shane Acker, I was blown away. Very cool animation in a post-apocalyptic world. Awesome! Unfortunately, the full-feature movie will add voices to the characters. Having only mute characters, I found, was a rather interesting aspect of the movie, since one has to figure stuff for oneself. Still, I love Tim Burton movies and I’m really looking forward to see what this one’s gonna be. - Star Trek XI
When Paramount canceled Star Trek: Enterprise in 2005, I was very disappointed. Finally, they produced a series that was good from the start (TNG was getting interesting only around the 4th season) and then they can it. Duh! Anyway, when I heard that there’s a new movie in the making, again based on the original series, I thought “please no” not another movie with fat Shatner! But hearing that this movie will be a prequel (I normally hate -quels) to the first one, with young actors, and JJ Abrams directing it, I was curious how someone not being very familiar with the complex Star Trek universe would direct such a movie.
