Guess what? Our phone works again. Somehow crapped out on the weekend, kept ringing once and then hanging up immediately again. Trying to get a dial-tone you only got some noise, but nothing else. Rang up Telecom, but due to an inconclusive line test they had to send out a technician (sometime between 4 and 7pm the same day). Of, course that dude showed up at 1pm and not when he was supposed to… Grrr!!
Anyhow, it’s working now (something on the outside line had to be fixed – a good reason for paying the wiring maintenance, otherwise it’s at least $81 for the call-out) and the quality is heaps better. I we thought it was just the phone slowly crapping out. 🙂
