Several news sites listed in this slashdot entry predict that OOXML, Microsofts rather botched up attempt to come up with something similar like ODF, will have enough votes to pass as ISO standard. With all those irregularities happening around the world (shame on DIN!), it will be interesting to see whether it will not be a pyhric victory in the end. Especially with the EU already interested in whether OOXML is sufficiently interoperable with competitors’ products.
