Bittersweet

Actually, this oxymoron should read sweetbitter. Why? Well, Jody and I had this awesome weekend in Auckland. No, I haven’t turned into a jafa yet. We were just doing lots of cool stuff:

  • Dinner at Orbit, the Sky Tower‘s revolving restaurant – eating very yummy food, served by a waiter from the Ukraine, while watching the sunset and lots of fireworks. 🙂
  • Donning our winter jackets, we had cocktails at -5 degrees – very cool ice sculptures to cuddle with
  • Looking at lots of crystals and strange rocks, with the big ones costing as much as 4 bedroom house in Ham
  • And the best part: being able to spend lots of time together! After all that end-semester and work-stress, it was almost a mini-holiday! 🙂

That was, of course, the sweet part. The bitter part came on Sunday night, with Jody getting on a plane and going overseas to Europe for a looooooooooooooong, looooooooooooooong time. 🙁 But she’ll be doing lots of great stuff, making a difference, which is really cool. So I’m not gonna complain. It’s just hard. That’s all…
